Welcome to Rafter J Bar Ranch
You will find our resort to be clean, quiet, well shaded and scenic. Our staff continuously strives to offer a well-maintained and modern facility while not losing sight of the rustic setting which makes us unique. The Rafter J Bar Ranch is comprised of five camping areas separated by alpine meadows and shaded by large ponderosa pines. Choose a remote site, or camp close to the resorts activity center. We offer electric, water and sewer sites along with many tent sites. Some sites have satellite TV hookups. Enjoy a crackling fire and quiet hours that begin at 10:00 P.M. There's also full-time camp security. Enjoy our swimming complex which features the addition of a hot tub. We are located adjacent to the George Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail. Our resort is also surrounded by National Forest with endless opportunities to hike and bike The Rafter J Bar Ranch is the perfect headquarters for Black Hills sight seeing, minutes away from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State park and the 1880 Train.

The Ranch maintains three complete bath houses for the convenience of our registered guests. Bath house services are free to registered guests only. Please feel free to inspect our facilities - we are proud of our installations. Each bathhouse has a laundromat equipped with coin operated washing machines and dryers.
RANCH STORE

Open from 7 am to 10 pm. The store is stocked with an assortment of souvenirs including Black Hills Gold jewelry, groceries, camping supplies, health and beauty items, beer, ice, firewood and much more!
GASOLINE
Gas is available from 7 am to 9 pm. Propane can be filled from 10 am to 8 pm.
RECREATION ROOM AND ARCADE
The recreation room is open from 8 am to 9 pm. We have a pool table and variety of video arcade games. There is also a playground behind the office area.
BATHHOUSES
Services are free to registered guests only. Please feel free to inspect our facilities - we are proud of our installations. Each bathhouse has a laundromat equipped with coin operated washing machines and dryers.
