Welcome to Cimarron Canyon State Park
Set in New Mexico's high country, where spectacular palisade cliffs and clear running waters dominate the landscape, Cimarron Canyon State Park is part of the 33,116-acre Colin Neblett Wildlife Area - the largest wildlife area in the state. Cimarron Canyon is a forested area located between the communities of Eagle and Cimarron. This are offers opportunities for camping, fishing, hunting and hiking. Cimarron Canyon is part of the 33,000 acre Colin Neblett Wildlife Area. Elevations range apply to all visitors. Annual permits and reservations are offered. The Cimarron River flows through this narrow, forested canyon. The park offers beautiful views, interesting geology, and quiet camping. The wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful as the park sits at the center of the Colin Neblett Wildlife Management Area.
