An RV and tent camping, family campground nestled in the woods of Mt. Gilead, OH. Scenic, tranquil, well kept and family oriented, it is a great place to have fun,swim, fish, and relax in beautiful surroundings. Dogwood Valley Campground opened in 1965 with just 20 crude campsites surrounding a lovely 6 acre lake. This spring fed lake was originally built by the late Dr. A.F. and Bernice Southard in their wooded "Backyard" several years earlier. Scenic, tranquil, friendly, family-oriented, and well kept: these are some of the words most often used to describe Dogwood Valley Family Campground. The past 44 years have seen many changes, improvements, and additions. Dogwood Valley now offers 200 campsites with water, electric, and some sewer hookups to accommodate everything from small tents to large motor homes.
