Welcome to Big Foot Beach State Park
This 271-acre park, on the shore of Geneva Lake, includes a 100-site campground, popular lakeside picnic area and miles of hiking trails. There is a swimming beach with 900 feet of shoreline. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are popular in winter. No alcoholic beverages are allowed anywhere in the park.

Camping and reservations
Big Foot Beach State Park has 100 campsites. The campground has vault toilets in several locations and will have a newly constructed shower building completed by the 2015 camping season.
Firewood
Firewood, ice and fire starters can be purchased at the camp host site near the campground entrance.
Campground
Campsites in the upper loop have a gravel pad, fire ring and picnic table. Fourteen of the sites have electric pedestals.
The electric pedestal that was on site 100 will be moved to site 94. Site 94 will have a paved pad to make it an accessible campsite for the 2015 camping season.
The campground has a dump station and a new shower building is being constructed. The shower building will be finished by mid-November. There is a new shower/bathroom building open for the 2015 camping season. Tent sites in the lower loop are a short walk from your vehicle (30-100 feet). Each has a fire ring and picnic table.
Hiking
The park has 6.5 miles of hiking trails through forest and open meadow. Most of the trails are relatively short and none are very strenuous.
Swimming
Lake Geneva is known for its clear, clean water. Big Foot Beach has a 100-foot marked swimming area. No lifeguards are on duty.
Boat Launch
Canoeing & Kayaking
Canoeing and Kayaking opportunities are available in Ceylon Lagooon and Lake Geneva. Seasonal rentals area available.
There is no boat launch in the park. Two public launches are available just south of the park, in downtown Lake Geneva and in Linn Township. The park's northern shoreline is a good spot to anchor and recreate for the day.
Fishing
Fishing is available at Ceylon Lagoon. An accessible fishing pier is a short-distance from the disabled parking area. Fishing equipment is loaned free of charge at the office. A fishing license is required of anyone age 16 and over.
Picnic areas and playgrounds
Big Foot Beach State Park offers 40 acres of picnic area with about 250 tables and a limited number of charcoal grills. Playground equipment, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are available. Horseshoes and volleyballs are loaned free of charge at the office. Pets are not allowed in the general picnic areas. If you wish to picnic with your pet, please ask at the entrance station for the designated area.
Archery Hunting Trapping
Archery hunting and trapping are allowed in the open areas of the park during the Wisconsin state parks hunting and trapping time frame. Gun hunting is not allowed in the park. Trapping is not permitted in closed areas as noted on the park hunting map or within 100 yards of any designated use area, including trails. Certain trap types are restricted on state park properties.
Winter Activities
When winter conditions permit, park staff set a track for traditional cross-country skiing on the trails that traverse the east end of the park. Pets are not allowed on groomed ski trails. Winter Hiking and snowshoeing are allowed anywhere in the park.
