AERIAL TRAMWAY
The aerial tramway is a highlight at Pipestem. The enclosed cars carry you on a six minute ride of 3600 feet along some outstanding scenery to the Bluestone River Gorge below. The tram generally opens during the first full-week in May into October.

AMPHITHEATER, OUTDOOR

BOLAR LOOKOUT TOWER
At 3,000 feet, the view of the Pipestem area from Bolar Lookout Tower is inspiring. Named in honor of the 6th superintendent at Pipestem, Steve Bolar, the tower is located near the park entrance. A .2 mile paved path leads up a rather steep terrain.

CANOEING

CONFERENCE FACILITIES
From small family gatherings to large corporate conferences, Pipestem is a great choice. A professional sales staff assists with planning a major event or a small group functions.

DISC GOLF
The course is located in the heart of the park's recreation area and adjacent to an Olympic outdoor pool, par 3 golf course, driving range, snack bar, picnic area, r/c race course, mini golf, tennis courts, and large amphitheater. The course is designed with good variety, from tightly wooded, technical fairways to long, open holes. Shortest hole is 155', longest hole is 405'. Pipestem Disc Golf course is 18 holes and was constructed in 2012. The course is a Par 62 and is 3900-4761' in total length, in moderately hilly and moderately wooded terrain. The play fee is $3 per player, payable in the pro shop. Disc rentals and sales are available in the pro shop. An annual pass is available also available for Disc Golf play.

FLING GOLF
FlingGolf™ is to golf what snowboarding is to skiing. An active, natural, athletic sport. It is played on golf courses, right alongside traditional golf. Instead of striking a golf ball with a golf club, fling a golf ball with a FlingStick. Swing naturally, shape your shots with just one stick, and enjoy the course. FlingGolf is scored like traditional golf. There are FlingGolf rules. It's natural swing and shot shaping fun. The rules are simple. Players fling the golf ball along the course and putt with the face of the FlingStick. FlingGolf appeals to a younger athletic crowd. Kids love it. It's easy to learn. And even those who have left golf will be enticed to come back for the fun of FlingGolf. Offered at both the Short Course (Par 3) and Championship Course at Pipestem Resort, the play fee is the same as standard golf and includes a FlingStick.

FISHING
Long Branch Lake, the Bluestone River and nearby New River offer anglers, novice and seasoned alike, fishing opportunities. From stocked trout to smallmouth bass, if you're looking for well-rounded recreation that includes fishing, it's Pipestem. Fishing license is required and online purchase is available.

FOOT GOLF
There is American football, there is golf, and there is the original football, which Americans call soccer. Now there is FootGolf – a combination of soccer and golf. The only place to play it in West Virginia is at Pipestem Resort State Park. FootGolf is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. The rules are basically the rules of golf except that players use their feet instead of clubs. Pipestem's Par 3 golf course is used for the FootGolf course site. FootGolf may be played after 4 p.m. Saturdays and after 2 p.m. the other days of the week when traditional golf play typically is light. Players may bring their own #5 soccer ball. Rentals are available at the pro shop. The attire is standard golf apparel which includes a collared shirt. FootGolf players share the course with traditional golf play.

GAZEBO
A gazebo and arbor greet visitors at the Administration Building lawn area. Perfect for weddings and special occasions. With ample parking, electricity and access to public restrooms, this addition to amenities at Pipestem Resort is a beautiful setting.
