Welcome to Little Beaver State Park
Little Beaver State Park is a 562-acre day-use park that features many outdoor recreational opportunities. At the center of the park is an 18-acre lake open for fishing year-round. The lake has many types of game fish including bass, crappie, channel cat, bluegill and trout. Paddle boats and row boats, canoes, and kayak rentals are available seasonally. The park also offers five reservable picnic shelters, playgrounds, geocaching, and an activities building. All trails are open for both hiking and biking, but bikers should use caution while riding in high-use areas. Little Beaver Campground opened July 1, 2011.  Thirty of the 46-site total sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The thirty sites and access road are gravel based and these sites have water and electric hookup.  Plans include paving of roads and sites.

LITTLE BEAVER LAKE
An 18-acre lake, created by a cut rock dam nearly 50 years ago and offers fishing and seasonal boat rentals.

PADDLE BOATS
Paddle boat rentals are offered.

PLAYGROUND
An enclosed playground is centrally located near picnic areas and five picnic shelters.

HIKING AND WALKING
Take an easy stroll around the lake or hike and bike the miles of rugged trails throughout the hills. Little Beaver offers 18 trails for hiking. Trail descriptions are listed on the Hiking page.

LITTLE BEAVER CAMPGROUND
Little Beaver State Park campground features 30-sites with electric and water hook-ups and an additional 16 sites with water hook ups only. A total of 46-sites makes this the newest campground in West Virginia's state park system. Sites are gravel based and the access roads at the campground are also gravel based. Paving is planned. The campground can accommodate RV units up to 40-feet. A large bathhouse with laundry facilities is on-site. The campground features a central dump station, check-in building, and wireless Internet access at the camp store. Sites have picnic tables and grills. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. There are 23 reservable campsites at Little Beaver State Park campground at this time and the remaining sites are available on a first-come first-served basis. The campground closes for the season October 31 and reopens on April 1. Call for opening dates.

PRIMITIVE GROUP CAMP
Little Beaver State Park offers a primitive group camp opportunity. The large field area can accommodate up to fifty individuals. There are portable toilets only. There is a per night rental fee and a two night minimum is required on weekends, Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. Other rental dates are on a first-come, first-served basis with check prior to set up. Rates are posted on our rates page.
