Welcome to Lake Somerville State Park & Trailway
Both the Birch Creek and Nails Creek units of Lake Somerville State Park offer a multitude of recreational opportunities such as camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and biking, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, backpacking and equestrian use (visitors must bring their own horses). More than 20 miles of trail are open to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians, affording visitors the opportunity to exercise and enjoy the beauty of the park. Water lovers can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and skiing on Lake Somerville. Along with regular campsites, A group RV area is also available which includes: 14 pull-through electric and water campsites, six water-only tent campsites, a central dining hall, a trailer dump station, a view of the lake shore and access to Lake Somerville. The dining hall is climate controlled, has restrooms (no showers), tables and chairs to seat 40, a full kitchen (sink, stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave included - cooking utensils not included), fireplace, an outdoor grill, fire ring, and covered picnic tables.
