Welcome To Kings Mountain State Park
The Piedmont’s Kings Mountain State Park has miles of forested trails perfect for supreme Kings Mountain hiking, two fishing lakes, and sits adjacent to Kings Mountain National Military Park, , one of many national park Revolutionary War sites. Local crowds flock to the park during regularly scheduled special events, especially every November when living history demonstrations are held at the park’s replica 1800s Piedmont farm. For those who want to stay overnight at Kings Mountain, campground accommodations–including equestrian facilities–are available at the Kings Mountain campground, with easy access to Kings Mountain hiking, fishing and more. Sit next to a warm, crackling fireplace in a mountainside cabin, listen to the ocean waves crashing from a rocking chair on a screened-in porch or watch the sun set over the lake from your lakeside villa. A relaxing stay in one of the parks’ cabins or villas is an essential part of the state park experience, and guests will be treated to these sights and sounds, andSantee Pier Cabins many more. Some of the state’s best overnight accommodations can be found in the parks, and the options and amenities are limitless. Quaint, rustic CCC cabins have a rugged feel to them and can be found in several of the parks from quiet lots in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Escarpment to quiet locations located only a short walk to the beach. The cabins, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, have their place in history, but all the amenities of a modern-day cabin, including linens and fully-equipped kitchens.
