We are located 1/2 mile east of the junction of Hwy 84 on Hwy 160. One mile east of downtown Pagosa Springs, mile marker 145. Since the days of the Indians, these mineral springs have been famous for their healing qualities and are reputed to be the world's hottest mineral springs.
Repeated exposure to the Hot Springs seems to improve conditions involving Arthritis, inflammation of the joints, circulatory problems, Nasal and Respiratory Problems. Soothes the spirit, relaxes the body and softens the skin.
The Great Pagosa Hot Springs itself is, at 145 degrees Fahrenheit, much too warm for safe human use, but it's a popular visitor attraction nevertheless. It's located just a short walk from the Pagosa Springs Post Office, behind the Spring Inn Resort, on Hot Springs Blvd. A walking path leads to the Springs, where the town has erected informational signage explaining the geology and history of the Springs.
