Perfect resort located in the woods but with all the amenities! A great resort to enjoy nature! From the moment you arrive at the gate it becomes obvious how this resort got its name. All the campsites and rental units are surrounded by trees giving you the sense you are really up north. The group of members that have become the regulars at this resort add to the atmosphere as well. There is a real sense of being part of a big family when you are there.  The activities there are great; everyone gets involved, even the Resort Manager. You might find him anywhere from the dunk tank during the Carnival weekend to hula dancing in a grass skirt at one of the Hawaiian Luaus. Nearby attractions include Eagle Landing Casino in Standish which is about 10 minutes away as well as the Saginaw Bay which is about 12 minutes. The resort is actually closer to Omer than Sterling.
