Welcome to Wilderness Edge Campground
We are a family-friendly campground located at 71 Millinocket Lake Rd just north of Millinocket, Maine. We are only 20 minutes from Baxter State Park (daily use passes are required to hike Mt. Katahdin)and approximately 30 miles from the South entrance of Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. We offer 33 RV Camping sites, 70 tent sites, 3 cabin tents, and a tepee. Millinocket Lake Rd. leads to the South Entrance of Baxter State Park, making your access to the park quick and easy. Wilderness Edge is a great location for a base camp for your Appalachian Trail connections as well as being only a short distance from many of the popular canoeing, kayaking, fishing and mt. biking sites in the Katahdin region. We can book you for a MOOSE TOUR and a great experience with a top White Water Rafting company. The campground is owned and operated by Wendi Munson, who is originally from Friendship, ME and Marcel Langlois originally from Griswold, CT.
