Our top priority at Texas Trails RV Resort is to be sure that our residents have a great time during their stay with us. Upon your arrival our greeters will greet you with a smile. As you drive down the road you will not be able to miss the welcoming Friendship Hall. That is where most of the fun takes place. Friendship Hall is a huge clubhouse hosting many activities throughout the winter season. There are dances every Friday night with a band. Card players are found in the multi-purpose room playing poker or dominos. If you look into the Sunshine Room you might see a board game or two going on…maybe even a Bunco game. Keep walking through the halls and someone will be sitting in the library reading or working on a puzzle in progress. In the Veteran’s Hall there may be line dance instructions, stretching exercises or yoga. If you are into fitness there is also an exercise room just off the coffee room. Whether you like sun or shade when you are pool side you can choose to swim indoors or outdoors. The Lonesome Dove building has a wood shop that every woodworker would love to have in their garage. If you are into wood burning or wood carving you can find that next door to the wood shop in the ceramics and stained glass shops where there is ceramics, bead working, coloring, as well as stained glass and of course, visiting happening. After you have settled in your home you might decide to venture out into the warm and sunny city of Pharr Texas. If you need to get groceries there you will find HEB and Walmart. If you just want to shop there are several shopping malls a few minutes drive from the resort. When you are finished shopping there are a variety of restaurants from which to choose for lunch or dinner. If you are looking for entertainment outside the park the State Farm Arena is only 10 minutes away where you enjoy NBA basketball, top name concerts, as well as local basketball and hockey games. If you love Fun in the Sun, about an hour's drive away are the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Port Isabel and South Padre Island offer many opportunities including swimming, deep-sea fishing and just lounging on the world famous gulf beaches. If you are worried about access to doctors, pharmacies or hospitals, no problem, just down the road from the resort there are many from which to choose. Texas Trails is one of the top RV Resorts in south Texas. Our region has milder weather than Arizona and is more laid back and less humid than Florida. Our area is less expensive than either of those states with less traffic congestion and sunny winter days. We offer mobile homes, RV and park model sites for both permanent and seasonal residents.
