Sauvie Island has a rich and active agricultural heritage that has been preserved through careful land management practices. The Island contains many large farms and refuges where crops and wildlife thrive. Island Cove RV Park is flanked by over 12,000 acres that has been set aside as a wildlife preserve and is home to more than 250 species of birds, 57 species of mammals, 28 species of fish and over 23 species of amphibians.
