Roswell has many parks and a small zoo. The zoo has a childrens petting zoo, train and carrousel. Three challenging golf courses, several swimming pools open to the public and a state of the art movie theater with eight screens. Roswell is centrally located for day trips to Carlsbad, New Mexico and the Carlsbad Caverns, Ruidoso, New Mexico with mountains, skiing, fishing, streams and lakes, fine dining, horse racing and casinos.
