Welcome to Promontory Park
If you want to teach your children to fish, Promontory Park is the place. Small Fry Lake, a one-acre lake within the park, was developed for the exclusive use of young anglers. Kids up to 17 years old can fish for two trout per day on Small Fry Lake. Anglers of all ages can fish on the 350-acre North Fork Reservoir. The park store offers groceries, ice, fishing tackle, boat rental and fuel. There is no speed limit on most of the reservoir, but the upper end has an enforced speed limit of 10 miles per hour. Nearby is the North Fork Lower Boat Launch, a recreation site on the Clackamas River with a single-lane boat launch, a bathroom and parking. Day-use only. Free and open to the public from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
