Welcome to Paradise Springs at Big Rock Creek          - Now Closed -
Nestled in the San Gabriel Mountains at an elevation of 5,000′ feet, Paradise Springs at Big Rock Creek offers guests unique family camping, group retreat, and outdoor education programs. Schools, churches, scouting programs, YMCA groups, and families just like yours have enjoyed camping here for over 30 years. The camp is located in a high, wide, mountain canyon above the small ranching community of Valyermo, less than a 30 minute drive from Palmdale, and just over a 90 minute drive from downtown Los Angeles. Our cold mountain springs give Paradise Springs its name feeds a creek that runs through the camp, supplying our stocked trout pools and ponds with clear fresh water. The springs run year round, and provide us with some of the best drinking water in Southern California. A large swimming pool, sports courts, and plenty of tree shaded grassy fields provide wonderful recreation for our guests. Well maintained trails lead outwards into the surrounding national forest. Please note GPS directions that take you to Highway 2 should be ignored. It is impassable by car. Please use the directions found in the downloads section of this website. Any approach to camp should include highway 138.
