Welcome to Montana Creek Campground
Located two hours north of Anchorage in the Susitna Valley along Montana Creek, the campground offers plentiful, extreme fishing. Take the Talkeetna Spur Road for the perfect day or afternoon trip. Stop at the Mount McKinley viewpoint; it is absolutely the best place in the state from which to view McKinley. Then park in town and stroll through beautiful downtown Talkeetna. The town is filled with many historical buildings and cabins. Talkeetna is home to many craftspeople and artists, so be sure to stop in at the little shops to see what they’ve done. And if you're looking for gifts or mementos, you’ll find those in Talkeetna, as well.

HAVE FUN and enjoy our campground!
Pets must be on a leash or chain at all times.
Do not leave fires unattended.
Fireworks and discharge of firearms are prohibited; you will be asked to leave the property.
ATVs are prohibited from trails. They are allowed on camp roads but a 5-mph speed limit is enforced. (Violators will not be permitted to ride their ATVs.) Helmets are required.
No cutting or stripping of live trees.
Do not drive on grass; you will ruin it and may get stuck.
Dispose of fish waste by tossing in swift part of creek; failure to do this could attract bears.
Protect our wildlife; dispose of fishing line in trash cans.
We are not responsible for personal property; safeguard your valuables.
RV generators must be turned off at 11 p.m.
Disposal of dangerous or hazardous materials is prohibited.
Medical assistance is located at Mile 4.5 Talkeetna Spur Road. Phone 907-733-2273 (or 911 emergency only).
Campground manager can be contacted at 907-733-KAMP (5267) during camp season.
Pre-paid campsite reservations are non-refundable unless cancelled more than 24 hours in advance.
