Michigamme Shores Campground is one of the top-rated campground resorts in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the heart of moose country. Open from May 1st through October 15th, we are located on Lake Michigamme two and one-half miles west of Champion on U.S. Hwy 41 West. Pull through, full hook-up, tenting and cabin sites are complemented by our full-service camp store, modern restrooms, laundry facility and recreational activity areas. We offer accommodations and fun for all ages!If you enjoy fishing, boating or other water recreation, our campground resort is where you want to be. Lake Michigamme is a wilderness lake covering almost seven square miles. Fish for walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass, perch and record-size muskie around remote islands, in deep channels, in quiet coves or off our boat docks. Bring your own boat or rent one of our canoes, motorboats, pontoon boats or paddleboats. Our swimming area includes a sandy beach, picnic tables, and playground equipment for the kids and plenty of sun!
