Welcome to Land Yacht Harbor
A group from Port ‘O Call purchased the 22 acres on which Land Yacht Harbor sits and developed the ground with volunteer effort in the mid 1970’s. The Park was built by Airstreamers for Airstreamers and up until 2001 only an Airstream owner could have a permanent site in the park. In the late 1980’s to mid 1990’s, the combination of a slowdown in RV travel due to the gasoline shortage and a policy adopted by the Board of Directors to allow only shareholders in the park caused a number of vacancies to occur. This prompted the Board to allow non-Airstream units in the park as seasonal renters. This policy change, which is still in effect, eventually led to a By- Laws change in 2001 making Long Term Renters a permanent resident in the Park. Today, there are 304 resident sites (originally built for 31 ft. Airstreams). Of the 304 sites, there are 50 LTR (Long Term Renters) and 254 sites available for Airstream leases. Some sites have been improved to accommodate larger units. Most of the residents of Land Yacht Harbor spend their summers along the I 95 corridor stretching from Florida to Canada.
