Welcome to Lake Placid Campground
Originally a fish camp, the Lake Placid Campground was built into a full-service campground in the 1970's by Lloyd Schrader, who owned and managed the property until late 2013, when he retired to Chicago and sold it to Dave and Margaret Stewart. Presently it has 133 full hookup sites, of which 21 are lakefront. The property itself is comprised of 12 acres of land that slope gently down to the shore of Lake Grassy, with old oaks and other tropical and sub-tropical trees and plants such as Bougainvilla, Hibiscus and Crotons, among others. The campground enjoys over 750 feet of lake frontage with a boat ramp and temporary parking for your trailer. But just in case fishing is not the only thing you like to do, there are numerous golf courses within a 15 mile radius. We also offers LP gas, a dedicated boat and RV storage area, and a full schedule of planned activities in the winter season.
