Welcome to La Junta KOA
Straddling the Santa Fe Trail , this High Plains campground lies just minutes from Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site . Costumed interpreters welcome you to the reconstructed adobe-walled trading post, once a gathering place for adventurers, explorers and Arapaho warriors. A half hour south, Picket Wire Canyon features the largest known track way of dinosaur footprints in North America. It's located just 30 minutes from John Martin Reservoir , known for great fishing.

Back at KOA, enjoy the country setting while being within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Pick up some souvenirs from around the area at the campground store. Cool off in the swimming pool, make use of our air conditioned restrooms and laundry or relax in the rec room where you can read, watch TV, play pool or enjoy a game of cards with your friends and family!
