Welcome to Harvey's Lake Campground
Named after one of the original settlers of Barnet, Vermont, Colonel Alexander Harvey, Harvey’s Lake is a spectacular hideaway in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
The pristine lake is known as a fisherman’s paradise, where rainbow trout are plentiful. The lake’s clear waters are also ideal for boating, kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing and swimming. For others, reading a book by the lake is the perfect form of relaxation. Back in the 1920’s, a young Jacques Cousteau attended summer camp here and experimented with staying underwater by breathing through hollow reeds he found on the shoreline. The ocean explorer and SCUBA inventor was first inspired to stay beneath the surface right here, where you, too, can revel in the lake’s crystal clear waters. The Cabins at Harvey’s Lake are located at the north end of the lake, near a public park with a quarter mile of sandy beach. Across the lake from our handsome wood frame cabins, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Harvey’s Mountain from sunrise to sunset—and under the light of the moon.
