Welcome to Fiddlers Grove
Since 1924, Fiddler’s Grove has enjoyed a long tradition of preserving old time and bluegrass music, and passing the legacy on to future generations.
The beginning of this preservation was Started in 1924 by the current director’s great grandfather, H. P. Van Hoy, a teacher and fiddler, as the Union Grove Fiddlers Convention. This convention was held every year until 1969 at the Union Grove School. The Ole Time Fiddler’s & Bluegrass Festival was Founded in 1970 by Harper A. Van Hoy, also a fiddler, to continue the preservation of traditional old time and bluegrass music in a family atmosphere. The combined performances of the two generations extends from 1924 to the present day in this festival held annually on Memorial Day weekend at Fiddler’s Grove Campground in Union Grove, North Carolina.
Amenities
Within Facility
Camping will be available for online purchase on March 1 at 12pm and will close May 15. After that time you can purchase camping at the gate. Please remember that you must purchase tickets in addition to your campsite — they are not included in the price of the site.
Dry Camping
There is unlimited dry / tent camping for $15 per night.
RV Camping
We have limited RV camp sites available! Full hookups (30 amp) are $35 / night, and water + electric hookups (15 amp) are $25 / night. There is a 2-night minimum for all RV sites.
Please be sure to select your camp site carefully when ordering. The site you select is guaranteed; however, we cannot provide refunds or alternate accommodations for RVs that don't fit in the purchased site.
Please note: Campers cannot run A/C units on ANY of the 15amp sites as it will trip our breakers. Generators are not allowed except in the field sites. Thank you for being courteous by adhering to these requirements.
Camper Accommodations
There are two bath houses. Toilets are located in both the upper and lower campground areas. Showers are located in the lower area only.
