Welcome to Cottonwood Park
Nestled between Kluane Lake and the magnificent St. Elias Mountains. The Park lies adjacent to Kluane National Park and directly on the shore of Yukon’s largest and most beautiful lake. This makes our campground popular with all visitors, from the RV traveler to the tenter, cyclist and avid hiker. Cottonwood's Main CabinWe are located at Km 1658 on the Alaska Highway 80km (50mi) north of Haines Junction. The Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre is located just 9km (5mi) to the south. Cottonwood Park is family owned and operated since its inception in 1980. It is one of the Yukon’s most beautiful and remote wilderness campgrounds. Being a wilderness campground requires that we must generate our own electricity. Three diesel generators provide electricity for the Park. Therefore we offer 15-amp power to our serviced sites. Most visitors realize that they are able to survive on 15-amp service if they limit the number of appliances used. When our guests arrive they are given an instruction sheet as to what can and cannot be used with 15-amp service. The Park is exceptionally clean and well manicured. For the safety of all of our visitors (both people and bears) we do not have garbage facilities on the premises. (Pack in, pack out) As mountains surround us, cell phone and cable TV reception are unavailable. Free wireless Internet, however, is available but sometimes limited due to weather conditions. Our guests may access WI-fi from our beautiful lakeside deck.
