Welcome to Balsam Lake Provincial Park

Located in the picturesque City of Kawartha Lakes, Balsam Lake is an all season recreational park along the Trent-Severn waterway. Campsites are available for all types of camping equipment. For those looking for a little more comfort, the park offers a four bedroom fully serviced cottage. In summer, swim at a clean, safe beach, hike the trails, fish for bass, canoe, paddle boat and kayak. Come in the spring for wildflowers and in the fall for autumn glory.

Swim in the clean water of Balsam Lake or take an enjoyable boat ride on the Trent-Severn Waterway. Balsam Lake is the the highest inland lake where you can actually travel by water to the oceans. Rent a canoe, paddle boat or kayak and fish for Walleye, Muskellunge, Large and Small Mouth Bass or relax on our sandy beach. Camp on one of 506 campsites – eight of which are premium electrical sites situated right on the lake shore and participate in our regularly scheduled Natural Heritage Education programs
