We spent a weekend just did absolutely nothing here - in a very good way.
Our camp site was between a few large trees so it was a little bit snugged for us - while packing up, we accidentally pushed our awning off track because of these trees. We should have had retracted awning before we moved the camper, no less. The camp site was too narrow for my liking - the concrete pad disappeared after we parked our vehicle.
We walked around the park a few times - as usual, many children rode around the park in their bikes. Most campers were friendly and enjoying the down time as we did.
There was a gospel service on Sunday morning inside of the campground. We loved it!! It was so invigorating to see people participated in the service even though it was quite chilly outside. We enjoyed the local church made this happened and wish we could see this in other state parks.
We played miniature golf and walked along the waterway a few times. It was a little farther from our home (4.5 hours) than we liked since we only planned to stay a couple of days.
The campground is serene.
