Reserve a Picnic Shelter
Three picnic shelters are available for reservation online or by calling (866) 644-6727.
Shelter House 1 - Open 25' x 76' shelter with paved floor has 17 electric outlets (20 amp), amenities include fireplace, 25 picnic tables, and parking for up to 27 vehicles, close to restrooms, playground, and lake
Shelter House 2 - Open 24' x 55' shelter with paved floor has 3 electric outlets (20 amp), amenities include small grill, 21 picnic tables and parking for up to 22 vehicles, close to restroom, playground, nature center, and lake
Shelter House 3 - Open 20' x 40' shelter with paved floor has 4 electric outlets (20 amp), amenities include small grill, 13 picnic tables, and parking for up to 26 vehicles, close to restrooms, playground, nature center, and lake

Camping
37 electric sites 50/30-amp, 22 full-service sites with water, sewer and 50/30-amp electric
Facilities include shower house, flush toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and waste-water drains.
Pets are permitted.
Camp store offers supplies, food, convenience items and souvenirs, and loans games and sporting equipment to registered campers.
Playground for youngsters

Cabins
2 deluxe Camper Cabins, tucked in a quiet corner of the campground, are available May 20 through early October.
Each cabin sleeps up to 6 adults on the following:
one futon fold-out bed (2)
bunk bed with a twin bed over a full bottom bunk (3)
twin sized pullout trundle bed underneath the bottom bunk (1)
Amenities include indoor and outdoor electrical outlets, a table and chair, A/C, heater, ceiling fan, microwave, refrigerator, TV, a picnic table, a covered porch area, and outside fire ring.
A small, dorm-sized refrigerator with freezer, broom and dust pan are also provided.
Linens, dishes, etc. are not provided.
No Pets

Boating (temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
The 32-acre Mt. Gilead Lake allows non-motorized boats (canoes, kayaks, rowboats, sailboats, etc.) and boats with electric motors only.

Disc Golf
A 9-hole disc golf course may be enjoyed by visitors in day-use areas of the park. Equipment rental is not available.

Fishing (temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
Mt. Gilead Lake offers great fishing for bass, bluegill and other panfish. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.

Trails
Seven bridle trails also allow hiking or running:
Whetstone Trail - 0.31 mi, easy
Meadow Trail - 0.6 mi, easy
Maple Grove Trail - 0.57 mi, moderate
Piney Woods Loop Trail - 1.5 mi, moderate (temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
Sam's Creek Trail - 1 mi, moderate (temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
Lakeside Trail - 1.7 mi, moderate to difficult (temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
Fern Ridge Trail - 1 mi, difficult

Winter Recreation (Temporarily unavailable due to lake improvements)
In the proper winter conditions, park guests can enjoy ice skating, sledding, cross-country, and ice fishing.

More to Do
One volleyball court, horseshoe pits, shuffle board court, corn toss, disc golf course, basketball court, and playground may be enjoyed by visitors in day-use areas of the park. Equipment may be rented from store.
The park hosts special events year-round and provides summer nature programs
200-seat amphitheater may be rented for a variety of outdoor functions
Picturesque gazebo may also be rented for special occasions
