Welcome to Mohican State Park
1,110-acre Mohican State Park and the adjacent 4,525-acre state forest are outstanding in their beauty and offer limitless opportunities for visitors to explore one of Ohio's most unique natural regions. The striking Clear Fork Gorge, hemlock forest and scenic Mohican River offer a wilderness experience while the resort lodge and cabins provide luxurious accommodations overlooking Pleasant Hill Lake.

Showers, flush toilets, dump station and a camp commissary
Registered campers may use the pool located in the campground.
Campground offers many recreational activities such as volleyball and basketball courts, and horseshoe pits.
Commissary loans games and sporting equipment to registered campers.
For the safety of our registered campers & their families, visitors are not permitted to drive through the campground from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The group camp can accommodate organized groups of up to 100 people available by reservation.

Cabins (25 Preferred Cabins)
Two-bedroom family cabins, sleep 6 people
Located along the river in a wooded area
Heated for year-round use and contain cooking utensils, towels, bed linens and blankets
Cabin guests may use the swimming pool located in the campground.
Pets are permitted in cabins 10, 18, 19 & 21.
All cabins are being renovated; total number of cabins is 25 but not all are available for rental during renovation.

Camper Cabins
3 camper cabins are available from May through October
Each cabin has
1 bunk bed and 1 double bed (sleeps 4)
mini refrigerator and a microwave
ceiling fan and electric fireplace
front porch with swing
fire ring and picnic table
One tent may be set-up on each site (limit 2 people)
Pets are not allowed in the camper cabins.
No linens or cookware provided.
Registered guests may use the pool located in the campground.

96 air-conditioned rooms, each with a private balcony and color television
Private meeting and banquet rooms for groups up to 425
Restaurant and lounge
Gift shop
Olympic-size indoor and outdoor pools and sauna are for lodge guests.

Paddling
The Clear Fork of Mohican River, which flows through the park, is one of the finest canoeing and kayaking rivers in Ohio. Pleasant Hill Lake, which is managed by Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, is a nearby lake with no horsepower limits.

Fishing
The Mohican River is noted for smallmouth bass fishing. Largemouth bass, carp, crappie, catfish, perch and bluegill are also abundant in the river and at nearby Pleasant Hill Reservoir. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.

Hunting
Hunting opportunities are available in the adjacent state forest. A valid Ohio hunting license is required.

Picnicking
Twelve picnic areas are located around the park and offer tables, latrines and drinking water. Fires are permitted only in grills where available.
A concession stand offers limited picnic supplies.
Three shelterhouses may be reserved online or by calling (866) 644-6727.

Swimming
Campers and cabin guests may use the swimming pool located in the campground.

Trails
Six hiking trails traverse the park:
Lyons Fall Trail - 2 miles - Moderate to Difficult - follows Clear Fork Gorge and features two waterfalls
Songbird Trail - 1 mile
Grist Mill Trail - 1 mile
North Rim Trail - 1 mile
Hemlock Gorge Trail - 2 miles - Difficult - Leads to the scenic wooden bridge
Pleasant Hill Trail - 3/4 mile - Easy - Follows the lake shoreline and offers beautiful views of the lake
Two bike trails also allow hiking:
Mountain Bike Trail - 8 miles - Moderate (named a "Trail of the Month" by Runners World Magazine)
Hog Hollow Trail
The park also features three bridle trails:
Grouse Trail
Pine Run Trail
Snowmobile Trail
One mountain bike trail that also allows hiking is a 24.5-mile trail looping around the gorge, passing through Mohican State Forest.

Voted #1 mountain bike trail in Ohio by Mountain Bike Action Magazine, and a "must ride" according to National Geographic Explorer Magazine
Home of the Mohican MTB100, a stop on the National Ultra Endurance Series, that has featured many of today's top USA Olympians and National Champions.
Other trails are available in the adjacent state forest for equestrians as well as hikers.
Mohican State Park is the home to one of the oldest ultra marathons in the U.S., The Mohican Trail 100, and also hosted the first ever US Track and Field Ultra Marathon National Championship in 2005.

Winter Recreation
Under the proper winter conditions, park guests can enjoy snowmobiling on the Snowmobile Trail and on trails in the adjacent state forest.
