Welcome to Beaver Creek State Park
Beaver Creek State Park, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, is one of Ohio's most scenic parks. The park includes Little Beaver Creek, a state and national wild and scenic river, and 2,722 acres of forest wilderness. The rich history of the area invites visitors to explore Gaston's Mill, pioneer village and abandoned canal locks. Nearby is a 2,105-acre wildlife area.

A group camp area can accommodate organized groups up to 125 people and is available for reservation.
Equestrian camp offers 59 primitive sites with water, vault latrines and tie-ups for those wishing to use the park's bridle trails. Sites may be reserved.
Boating
Little Beaver Creek offers one of the most enjoyable canoe trips in the state of Ohio. Swift currents and breathtaking scenery are highlights of a trip through the Little Beaver Creek gorge. Be sure to wear a personal flotation device and be alert for potential hazards. The creek is navigable by canoe or rubber raft only. No swimming areas are available.
Fishing
Stream fishing is excellent for smallmouth bass and rock bass. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.
Hunting
Hunting is permitted in designated areas. A valid Ohio hunting license is required.
Picnicking
Three picnic areas are scenically located and provide restrooms, tables and grills. One picnic shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Trails
Seven hiking-only trails are available:
Fitness Trail - 1/2 Mile - Easy
Logan's Loop Trail - 1/2 Mile - Easy
Nature Center Trail - 0.2 Miles - Easy
Overlook Trail - 0.3 Miles - Easy
Oak Hill Trail - 1 Mile - Moderate
Upper Vondergreen Trail - 1 Mile - Moderate
Four mountain biking trails also permit hiking:
Pine Ridge Trail - 1/2 Mile - Easy
Fisherman's Trail - 1/2 Mile - Easy
Dogwood Trail - 2.0 Miles - Moderate
Lower Vondergreen Trail - 3.25 Miles - Moderate
Vondergreen and Dogwood trails are technical mountain bike trails. Both offer great scenery, technical climbs, and fun downhills. Not for the beginner (unless you take it slow). Stop by the park office, and they will give you trail head directions and maps. Read more on the Cleveland Area Mountain Bike Association website. Twenty-three miles of bridle trails provide access for horse and rider through the valley. The Dogwood, Pine Ridge and Vondergreen trails on the north side of Little Beaver Creek are part of the extensive North Country Trail system.
Winter Recreation
Park visitors can enjoy sledding when conditions permit.
