Welcome to Gull Lake Recreation Area
Offering something for everyone with boating, hiking, fishing and swimming in Minnesota's famous Gull Lake, the largest of the 10 lakes on the Gull chain. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and hear an abundance of wildlife like bald eagles, deer, otters, a variety of songbirds and the legendary call of the loon. Gull Lake is sure to peak the interest of archeology buffs as it is home to several Native American burial mounds dating back as early as 800 B.C. These mounds are believed to have originated from the Woodland American Indians and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
