A refreshing oasis in California's high desert, the Barstow Calico KOA is conveniently located midway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, alongside Interstate 15. The campground is focused on providing a pleasant and restful change from the rigors of a day on the road. Kids can work off some pent-up energy on our fun bikes, playground with climbing wall or in the family pool. Our four-legged guests delight in discovering acres of desert to explore. Off-roaders will find trails of scenic interest and various experience levels in the Calico Hills just 3 miles from the park.

It is also a popular area for hiking and rock hounding, as well as a playground for ATVs. Day trips include Inspiration Canyon with its concentration of petroglyphs thought to date back as far as 12,000 years, or to Afton Canyon, often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Mojave," for its beauty and wildlife.
