Welcome to Silver Lake West Campground
Silver Lake West Campground is located approximately 35 miles to the West of Sly Park Recreation via Mormon Emigrant Trail, on the West side of highway 88 across from Silver Lake (in El Dorado County). The campground is usually open from mid-May through mid-October every year, depending on the weather and necessary maintenance.  Each campsite contains a picnic table, a fire ring with grill, and bear-resistant food storage lockers. The area is wooded and speckled with large boulders and is adjacent to a creek. A tight fit, so it is recommended that RV’s or trailers do not exceed 24’.  The following sites will accommodate a 24 foot trailer/motor home: 6, 8, 27, 28, 40, 41 & 42.
