Rothwell Park – one of the largest municipal parks in the state – is truly a gem and a recreational destination. Few cities the size of Moberly – or even those larger – have anything comparable with the vast acreage and amenities. Located on the west side of Moberly, Rothwell Park is easily accessible from Highway 24, Holman Road, or Fisk Avenue. The Thompson Campground offers 24 full hook-up RV spaces and a shower/restroom facility. Each space has a concrete pad, electricity, water, and sewer connections. The Howard Hils Athletic Complex is located at 2002 West HWY 24. The HHAC contains approximately 80 acres of ball fields including 8 softball/baseball fields, and 3 football/soccer fields. Other amenities include the Concession Building, Playground, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and batting cages.
