Welcome to Newport News Campground
Year-round camping with 188 campsites, most of which include grills, electrical hook-ups and concrete pads. Each campsite loop has a separate facilities building with hot showers and restrooms. Hiking, biking, mountain biking at adjoining Harwood’s Mill, picnic shelters, paddleboats, canoeing and archery. Fishing for chain pickerel, northern pike and a variety of sunfish. 18-hole championship disc golf course and 30-acre aeromodel flying field. Competitive archery range. Japanese Peace Garden. Boat and bicycle rentals; camp store. Fishing licenses for Virginia residents and non-residents (including international visitors) available at the Campsite Office and at many area sporting goods stores. Pets welcome on leash. After-hours access available.
