Atwood Water Park is located on the banks of the Pearl River. It offers a boat launch, tennis courts, picnic areas, covered pavilion, and over 125 camp sites. 6 city campers are available for rent. Recently renovated, the park offers new lighting, a handicapped restroom and shower, gatehouse renovation, stage renovation and coming soon is a new boat dock and walking trail. It is home to the Atwood Music Festival held each year on Memorial Day Weekend and the Montipaloosa Music Festival held in August. The Atwood Music Festival features Nashville recording artists, local entertainment, a tennis tournament, golf tournament, and many arts, crafts and food vendors. Montipaloosa offers a variety of music including blues, jazz, rock, alternative and others.
