Arkansas's largest state park in land area, Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area (HSPCA) covers 12,055 acres along the southern shores of 28,370-acre Beaver Lake. Twenty-two of the parks 60 miles of border stretch along the shores of Beaver Lake. The park lies between Beaver Lake to the north and War Eagle Creek to the south. It stretches across a part of Benton County southeast of Beaver Lake and extends into Madison and Carroll counties.

Visitor Center
Opened in May 2009, this state-ofthe-art facility is the park's orientation point. Interactive exhibits and educational programming offer an Ozark experience. In 2010 the center was recognized with a Silver LEED Certification for sustainable design.
Picnicking
Ten picnic tables are at the visitor center and five are at Van Winkle/Sinking Stream Trailhead.
Nature hikes
On 5 separate trails: Ozark Plateau (Visitor Center) – .5 mile, Sinking Stream Trail – .5 mile, Shaddox Hollow – 1.5 miles, Pigeon Roost –8.4 miles, and Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail –24 miles. Interpreter-guided tours available.

The .5 mile Historic Van Winkle Trail is wheelchair accessible with a paved parking lot and tunnel under Hwy 12. Here, on interpretive panels with
pictures, the story is told of an early industrial center. Self-guided or group interpreter – guided tours available.
Camping
Five primitive campsites for backpackers are located on Pigeon Roost Trail. It is a 4-mile hike to these sites. Some overlook Beaver Lake.
Gun shooting range
25, 50, 75, 100 yd. target stands. Covered shooting bench with five stations, including one barrier-free station. Shotguns prohibited, paper targets only, and wooden clothes pins required.
Managed hunting seasons
Deer, wild turkey, and small game. See state Game & Fish regulations. Special Hobbs permit required for some hunts.
