Welcome to Boysen State Park
Boysen State Park offers 3 entrances: U.S. Highway 20 (east side), U.S. Highway 26 (south side) and Bass Lake Road (west side). Boysen State Park is one of the larger parks in the State Park System. It is a lake-orientated park at the south end of the Owl Creek Mountains at the mouth of Wind River Canyon now part of the Wind River Canyon Scenic Byway. It offers a variety of water type recreation. Day and camping facilities are available. There are five major camping locations in Boysen State Park: Lower Wind River, Upper Wind River, Tough Creek Campground, Loop1 and Loop 2.

Gravel sites, we camped in the Tamarask campground. Right on the water in a desert setting! Even with antennas, our Verizon aircard and phone did not work. Great place if you are self contained. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
