Welcome to Tree House Camp at Maple Tree
Located near Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and is close to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. Our unique lodging includes our NEW Hobbit House, cozy Tree Cottages, rustic Tree Houses and Tent Camp Sites. All are equipped with fire circles, picnic tables and charcoal grills (excluding tent sites). Our campground facilities offer indoor bathrooms, private outdoor hot showers, indoor heated winter shower, multi-use pavilion and a camp shop stocking firewood, charcoal, ice, and other food and camping items you may have forgotten to pack. We are also pet friendly! Twenty acres of beautiful wooded campground, backed up to the Appalachian Trail on South Mountain provide an ideal setting for year-round camping, hiking and river rafting fun. The seclusion, peace and quiet of our campsites offer a relaxing atmosphere to slow down, escape from your busy schedule and enjoy the surrounding nature. A perfect choice for a rustic wedding venue, romantic getaway or an affordable weekend family vacation.

Within Facility
Bathrooms
Indoor men's and women's bathrooms with hot and cold water are available. We keep them very clean.
Hot Showers
There are two outdoor (but private) showers with hot water and the ability to lock yourself in. There is one heated, indoor shower for winter.
Camp Shop
The camp shop offers wood, ice, charcoal, coffee, sodas, snacks, canned goods, T-shirts, lanterns and things that people forget - like marshmallows, condiments, toiletries etc... We try to stay stocked in our busy season with steaks, burgers and hotdogs. Please call ahead to see what we have in stock!
Firewood
A bag of firewood may be purchased for $7.00 and does not include kindling. You may collect small kindling, or purchase a bundle of it here for $5.00. Outside firewood may not be brought in due to potential insect or tree disease as stated by The Maryland DNR policy. We are surrounded on 3 sides by the state forestry.
Appalachian Trail
The camp backs up to the Appalachian Trail.
Garbage
Campers may dispose of bagged trash in a dumpster at the camp. We also have recycling receptacles. Please remember to bring your own trash bags.
