History - Welcome to the American RV Park and Kamp. We developed one of the first RV parks in the West. We opened what is now the lower level in the mid '70s. About 10 years ago we added the upper level. At about the same time we added 4 camping cabins. Click the left margin 'Photos' button to view photos of the cabins and other areas of the park. We are open from about early April to the end of October.  Lower Level It is our goal to provide you with a comfortable environment as you travel through central South Dakota. Whether you chose a site in the lower level or one of the nine concrete pads in the upper level it is our goal to provide you with reliable electricity, drinkable water, clean restrooms and a convenient laundry facility. In the lower level you will have a good 20 or 30 amp electricity hook-up and a water connection. In the upper level 50 amp and a sewer connection are added.
