Greenbrier State Park - Boonsboro, MD - Maryland State Parks

Located in the Appalachian Mountains, Greenbrier State Park offers many recreational opportunities. The man-made freshwater lake provides a cool respite from the summer heat with swimming, sunbathing, boating and fishing opportunities. Explore the parkâs hiking trails, which meander through a variety of wildlife habitats and afford a view of the area's geological history. Picnic tables and grills and playgrounds are available in the day-use area, and Greenbrierâs campsites are popular for families with children of all ages. Greenbrier has a campground which is nestled into the woods and has many cozy, private sites. The 12 miles of trails are enjoyed by hikers and mountain bikers alike. Most of the trails are intermediate level but be aware that several of the trails have long stretches of rocky sections. The Bartman Hill Trail connects to the Appalachian Trail which passes through the park.
