Even though this park is about 2000 miles from our home, we had a blast being here in 2015.
It was a long journey that completed one of our bucket list items - we set out to see the Grand Canyon, world famous big hole in the ground. :-) We stayed in Munds Park for several days and straight away, we received very helpful staff's help getting us settling into our camp site. We parked right next to the small creek with plentiful shade.
When we arrived, the water pressure wasn't optimal but our new found neighbors gave us play-by-play report on the status of the water situation.
Our son, who was a typical game geek (saying it with a warm affection) disappeared during the time we were in the park mingling with other children's scouting, swimming, and hiking activities. This was an incredible event!!
The park was clean all around. There were a few trails surrounding the area and it is located off major highway for easy access. There were several activities on the Saturday night with loud music coming out from the bar/restaurant but my favorite was the library where many books were available for the guests.
We toured the camp ground which was massive with several permanent RVers' homes secured in the place. It was like going through an interesting fairy land with small and charmingly decorated cottage style homes and several of them with decorated name identifiers which made the campground looking very welcoming.
We spent days sight seeing and once traveled out to Nevada to visit some old friends. Our experience was heightened at the Star Night at the Canyon where we were able to look at various planets through numerous volunteers' telescopes.
The temperature here varied drastically; we had close to 100 degree during the day but needed to turn on heat during the night. We would some day be back here!!
